What my Clients Say

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We have the answers!

What are the benefits of massage therapy?

Massage can be an amazing way to take charge of your health and wellbeing. It’s not just a luxurious indulgence – it has tangible benefits!
Through pressing, rubbing, and manipulating the skin/muscles/tendons & ligaments different kinds of massage offer types that range from light stroking to deep pressure.

How often should I get a massage?

From relief of medical issues to stress-relieving relaxation, massage therapy can have a range of beneficial effects. Finding the right frequency and duration for you depends on your needs; consider whether it’s short sessions focused on addressing an issue or longer appointments just for pampering! Whichever type best suits you, be sure to discuss them with your therapist — We’ll help guide the process based on experience and research results so that you get maximum benefit from each session.

What types of massage are there?

Massage common types:

  • Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping. It helps you feel relaxed and energized.
  • Deep massage. This massage technique uses slower, more-forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It’s commonly used to help with muscle damage from injuries.
  • Sports massage. This is similar to Swedish massage, but it’s geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.
  • Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.

What should I expect during a massage?

Taking time out and treating yourself should be luxurious, but if it’s your first professional full body massage that can seem daunting. Don’t worry – we’ve got advice on how to prepare plus an exact rundown of what happens during your treatment phase by phase. Click here to see our beginners guide to Massage Therapy!

What shall I wear to my appointment?

For your massage experience to be truly luxurious and enjoyable, we recommend you come prepared for some undressing. However don’t worry as this is a completely private affair! Your therapist will step out of the room while you get down to your underwear; cover up with soft towels which will help ensure optimal warmth during the treatment – The therapist will only expose what needs massaging.

Dress in loose clothing that’s easy to take off and on so not too much time is taken away from your precious therapy session.
To complete the relaxation package make sure those undergarments are comfortable ones-underpants must stay firmly on though out, please note I do not treat clients who wish to remain nude throughout their treatments.

What are some common misconceptions about massage?

Massage isn’t one-size-fits all. There are many types of massage modalities, each offered in its own unique way to best suit your needs and preferences! So don’t settle for just any old rubdown…find the perfect approach with a qualified therapist that you trust.

Forget the notion that massage is simply a luxury – it can have real and tangible rewards too! Massage therapy offers more than just pampering, with numerous positive effects on physical health.

A productive massage shouldn’t cause too much pain; a healthy range on the 1-10 scale is around 7. Any tenderness or discomfort felt after can be normal, but it’s not always an indicator that you had a good experience—keep your limits in mind!
